Exactly what I was about to comment. The comment she said it was a black heart I knew Rio would play a major role in them completing the witch’s road but I’m interested to see exactly HOW they pull it off because we know it’s gonna happen.

When Billy was freeing Agatha, he kept repeating the same spell over and over. In the comics, he has to repeat a spell 3 times for it to work.

Hypothesis: He doesn't want to go on the Road just to get power. He's been sent by Wanda, who discorporated just before the mountain fell on her, and knows that Agatha is the one to get her back to solid form. But Agatha is powerless, so Wanda needs Agatha to go on the Road to get her powers back.

It's small but the opening credits for Agnes of Westview doesn't use the actors/actresses names IRL but the characters names like Hurb which also hints that the "show" is taking place in Agatha's head.
Yu0 noticed that immediately, and the acting was like over the top just barley gave it all just a weird vibe so far this show is nailing it very well

Yeah, but Billy Maximoff was the child Wanda made and raised. The Kaplans are the couple who adopted him. For most comics or Wandavision fans, Billy's connection to Wanda means something important while Kaplan does not.

Also if you didn't notice at the end of episode 2, there were a pair of red boots and pink boots, which could point back to the wizard of Oz with Dorothy's slippers and Glenda the good witch.
The hiding of Teen’s real name and backstory from Agatha is probably a protective spell placed on Teen by Wanda to protect him from Agatha and any vengeance she might want against Wanda and her children

Kathryn Hahn and Joe Locke, individually and together, are excellent. And Aubrey Plaza. I could have happily just watched the fake tv show. But the real show feels fun and interesting, something recent Marvel and Star Wars shows haven't felt like.
Joe Locke is giving me Jack Quaid vibes and I'm here for it.

The biggest plot twist of all would be casting this incredibly talented ensemble, and then bringing wooden Liz Hurley back into the fold by the end of the season 🤣

The spell that covers 'Toto's' identity is something she hasn't encountered before so it must have been put into place by someone powerful. She was experimenting on it in the car which made me think she had never seen it before.
@@seanoconnor3164 All she was doing in the car was checking her hearing and demonstrating for us that it was his voice that had been silenced. Clearly she's not to know either his name nor his backstory so that she can't piece together who he really is, and alter the plans of whoever is running this game on her.
When they ripped the welcome sign down, only the W remained - like how the scribbled on Toto/Billy’s mouth looked like a W, I think Wanda has a protection spell on him and she is present in some way.
The way Herb said "water" at the beginning of the episode was also pretty unique to the Philadelphia region.

i think the jade agatha took may be kind of important later on. jade is known to heal in many ways. i know it’s kind of a stretch but i think it may be part of how agatha gets her powers back, healing her energy. i also think that maybe it could be used to mend the relationship between her and aubrey plaza’s character, healing their relationship. it’s also earth related cause ya know, it’s a rock, and i think it may have something to do with the earth witch. also, i think that it’s kind of apparent that joe locke’s character says “billy maximoff” when he’s being bleeped. i could be wrong on that though.

Blackheart is Mephisto's "son". He is a common antagonist to Ghost Rider as seen in the first Ghost Rider movie.
The black heart does refer to Rio. When they had their altercation, Agatha told her she didn't have a heart, to which Rio replied: "I do. It's just black." And you said she is a green witch. That would explain why she didn't want to get her for the ceremony.
I really enjoyed these first two episodes! I have to shout out the set design and the musical score for this show because I think they're both excellent so far. Really looking forward to checking out the rest of the show! 🔮🎆✨️

in the end of vol 2 of scarlet witch, the series mentioned in this video - agatha & wanda survive the witches road with the help of natalia maximoff (wanda’s biological mother in the comics continuity) teen/billy says agatha is the only person to have ever completed the witches road. it’s gets a little muddy if you directly compare the comic run to the show, bc at the time when agatha & wanda go down the road, agatha is a ghost. they ultimately meet natalia on the road who helps them & sacrifices herself so that wanda & agatha can continue and succeed with the road. agatha then comes back to life and is not just a ghost. this is just a stretch of a theory. this comic run is just fresh in my brain because i read it within the last month.

I think Jennifer Kale's shop is a joke about Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop. They made a joke about jade eggs and Goop sold kegel eggs. Jennifer Kale being sued could also be a reference to Goop, which sold a candle that exploded and the company was fined $140,000 for misleading advertisements.
I doubt it. I don’t think they would take a shot at Gwenth Paltrow like that, considering how deeply she’s been involved w/ Marvel and they are on pretty good terms.

@@KingOfMadCows yes, but that was Deadpool and a completely diff vibe than this. And those actors definitely were asked before those jokes were made.
I seriously doubt Gweneth would be down for that tie of specific joke, especially since it’s not really even funny or that noticeable of a reference. I think it’s just meant to be one of those typical wellness shops, since her thing is potions.

I love how they take off their shoes at the road. In Wiz of Oz, Dorthy always had a get home card cause she kept her ruby slippers. Them removing their shoes mean there's no way back.
I also loved the line "It doesn't usually take this long." Nice adult humor.
This show was not at all what i expected. I'm way more interested in what's next than i expected to be.

“Mrs. Hart” being recruited to the coven isn’t a comical misdirect as it was made pretty obvious that she isn’t the one that should be with them. For one the most obvious reason is she isn’t a witch by any stretch of the imagination but also Agatha was clearly upset by whoever the black heart represented. She didn’t want them so she chose a random person to fill the slot in the hopes it would appease the other witches as well as allow them to open the door. At one point Rio made a blatant comment to Agatha about how she has a black heart making it clear she was the one who she was supposed to recruit. Of course predictions aren’t always easy to interpret so perhaps in an effort to avoid having Rio join them she actually picked the right person. 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t think it was an Easter egg pertaining to the show and its future episodes, but I loved Detective Agnes’s ‘Clue’ mug.
In the first 2 episodes you can clearly see that Agatha was struggling to get her power back, and even called on the help of the other witches to bring the purple magic back to her..For 3 years, Agatha was trapped on her spell. Now it is more evident that Wanda is such a powerful being; the impact of what she has done to Agatha is so big

Umm I’d say probs not. I mean we see Loki’s skills in combat and magic in the Thor movies and avengers up until then. And I’d say unless Agatha has some super powerful magic she didn’t show, I think Loki would take her and literally just use an illusion and stab her.

And I would say Loki, because they use different types of magic, so hex runes would not work on him. Then we have experience, Loki has a lot more.
Don’t know if it was mentioned or even if I’m right, but I’m pretty sure the lady behind Agatha in Westview’s library, when she cut the line to speak to Dottie, is the same lady caught in a loop trying to hang a sheet on a cloth line that Vision finds when he goes to the edge of Westview in Wandavision episode 6. The actress name is Tamara Hetzel.
I really want to know if that statue in Deadpool and Wolverine is actually Wanda's from the 616. Only because that was the original script of the Darkhold.
I don't know much about witchcraft, but I'm thinking maybe Agatha can't hear details about "Toto" including his name because names and information like that holds power in magic in a lot of lore from a lot of different places, so maybe there is some kind of protection magic on him preventing him from sharing it with other witches, or perhaps just Agatha herself.

hey hey, not sure if anybody else said in comments. but (the black heart )....Rio and Aggie had a convo during fight and she told Rio she doesn't have a heart..and Rio said "i do, it's just black" or something along...my POV of why she was acting like that towards last name and getting the neighbor instead....Rio did say during fight she was going to watch it all burn down & with others witches trying to kill Ms.Aggie- lol just wanted to throw that out there :^)

Just watched the preimier, and I already have a theory that the reason agatha's name is also on the list is because it's 'Teen's' coven and agatha is just another member in it
And I just realized 'Teen' was the one to convince the other witches to join, agatha fumbled it each time
The Teen's belt buckle looks like the symbol on the Darkhold

From the moment they said the last name was a black heart I knew Rio was the green witch. I actually liked the second episode a little more than the first (which I really enjoyed).

I'm only halfway through the video so maybe you touch on this later but:
I think that Joe Locke is actually playing Nicholas Scratch. The only time we see him with Mr. Scratchy is when he is alone. I think the Darkhold maybe had Agatha give up something, a child sacrifice, but it was binding placed by the Darkhold onto Nick, binding him into the form of Mr. Scratchy. Now that the Darkhold is destroyed, the binding is weakened allowing him to maybe project himself into a limited form.
But Agatha refers to Joe's character as her pet and her familiar. When he tries to say his name Agatha sees words across his mouth, as if a written binding.
